ORIENTATION AND COUNSELING The course wants to build professionals capable of giving information, support and stimulate children and family resources to ease behaviour that would improve adaptability in awkward situation; capable of giving a considerable support in all those situation where it is needed to take decisions and make choices; that know how to handle orientation activities for the students. Course’s Goals • Know how to develop conscience and empathy as principal processes for children’s growth; • Operate efficiently in hard situation with students of the scholastic and educational institute you work in; • Apply specific ability, personal skills and counsellor communicative strategies to activate and reorder individual child’s resources in order to make choices and exchanges in situation that he feels as disturbing; • Make documented researches as support for the elaboration and planning of orientation activities; • Evaluate both test and oral results; • Plan, schedule and organize educational orientation activities: • Handle logistical and organizational aspects of the activities; • Control your own work (in progress and afterwards) to adapt and calibrate different activities on the base of specific requests of context and users.
